Oakland State of Mind is the music video from the 1st single release from the Youth Roots recent album, "Edit the Real". This video reflects a more complex notion of what Oakland is and how it is experienced.

Youth Roots is a critical media program in East Oakland where high school students act as ARTivists to fight oppression By Any Medium Necessary. This short video is how some of the youth are making sense of their experiences within Youth Roots.
