Our Oakland was at the bustling Sobrante Park Time Banking Health Fair last Saturday!   We were there asking residents to tell us why they like East Oakland or what they'd like to change about East Oakland.  We had everyone write down what they had to say on a big sheet of paper and pose with their statement in front of the camera.  Here are some shots from our sunny Saturday at the fair.

Every Sunday morning until afternoon, Oakland shimmers with congregations full of gratitude and faith. There are many faith based organizations sprouted up all over Oakland, and on Sundays Oakland residents, proudly attending Sunday service, celebrate their relationship with faith by being creative through fashion. On Sundays, it's very common to see the elders gracefully stroll to their church in electric-blue or green suits with matching snakeskin loafers and decadent hats.
